Wheel Balancing

If your steering wheel has an annoying shake or shimmy between 50 and 70 mph, your wheels and tires are probably out of balance.

No wheel or tire is perfectly round and tires go out of balance as they wear, our Hunter GSP9700 balancing machine allows us to place a few ounces of weight on the wheel to stop the shimmy (dynamic balance) and wheel hop (static balance)

In rare cases, a normal wheel balance won’t fix that annoying shimmy or shake because the tires or wheels have uniformity issues and can only be felt while driving with a load on the tire.

Our GSP9700 uses a special roller that applies up to 600lbs of force to simulate the condition and provides precise C

How do I know if I need my wheels balanced?
Is your vehicle vibrating at certain speeds, say, between 50 and 70 mph? If so, chances are your wheel is out of balance. One section of your tire is heavier than the other because it's endured more exposure to the friction and heat of the road. Come in for prompt, professional service—most people are very satisfied with the difference such a simple and inexpensive procedure makes. Look for these signs, and if you find either one, come see us:

     •  Scalloped, erratic wear pattern on tires.

     •  Vibration in steering wheel, seat, or floorboard at certain speeds.

At Just Four Tires, we’re experts at smooth riding vehicles and it’s a rare thing that we can’t fix a tire or wheel combination.

Improve Tire Life

The Benefits of Nitrogen
for Every Day Drivers.

Save On Gas:

Studies of nitrogen tire inflation show that car owners can improve gas mileage by up to 10% because their tires remain properly inflated.

Improve Tire Life

Filling tires with 92% minimum purity nitrogen helps keep them at optimum inflation levels, which in turn delivers improved tread wear compared to under inflated tires. Studies have shown that normal oxygen levels inside tires filled with air are corrosive to both the tire carcass and the wheel itself, both of which can lead to air leakage.

Improve Safety:

Properly inflated tires improve safety and handling as well.

Better Tire Pressure Stability:

Moisture in normally inflated tires can lead to wide pressure swings due to expansion as the tires heat up. Nitrogen tire inflation eliminates virtually all moisture inside the tire, which in turn keeps tire temperatures and pressure more stable. A side benefit of this is a dramatic decrease in false TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) alerts which have become annoying to drivers of late model vehicles now equipped as standard with TPMS systems.
